I’ve known Mike Scanlan and his family for over six years. Mike has been my pastor, my friend, and someone that I would trust as a leader in the community for District 1 to do an effective job and fulfill the obligations that are set before him. As a pastor he has been a good leader, as a friend he has been one that my dad and I could count on if there was an emergency, if something needed to be fixed in our home, he was there to help. Mike is a man of many talents and gifts, both spiritually, and communally. Mike has a genuine personality of walking in integrity, speaking in truth, and trusting God to lead him In the right path. I believe that Mike would be a great supervisor for District 1, and one who would work for the community to make a positive affirmation of change.

I’ve known Mike Scanlan for many years, he has walked beside my family through illness and death, I would literally trust him with my life. Is Mike perfect, no and he’d be the first to say so, but what I’ll say is that he is one of the hardest working people that I know, trustworthy, honest and upfront with a servants heart. He will listen to you and will give you an honest reply. That’s why I truly believe that he will listen to the people of District 1, be their voice and represent them well in the county government!

I first met Mike during the course of my duties as a Sergeant with the Lassen County Sheriffs Office when he assisted me on a difficult coroners case. The care and compassion he showed the family was next to none. He had been a faithful chaplain to our agency for many years and can be counted on to answer his phone and respond at all hours of the night and day to offer his assistance to our staff and community. I have since developed a personal relationship with Mike and his family as I am a member of his congregation. He has a servants heart and is motivated to do what is true and just. I know I can count on Mike to always make the right decision. Join me in voting for him for District 1 Supervisor!

Mike Scanlan is my pastor, brother and friend. The first word that comes to mind when I think about him is “servant”. That is exactly what a representative is supposed to be. I have had the privilege to know Mike Scanlan for over 12 years now. He is a friend and my pastor. He has walked beside my family through many trials and different situations in life. And it’s not just us but so many other people he is there for. Just as he volunteers as chaplain for the Lassen County Sheriffs Department to comfort citizens through difficult situations, he does the same thing for neighbors, friends and strangers. He is the type of man who will go above and beyond to help a friend or a stranger. I have never had any reason to doubt his honesty or integrity. He strives to live a life that honors our Lord and fulfills the call to love thy neighbor as thyself. I know he will work harder than anyone to support, encourage and build up the people of District 1 and all the residence of Lassen County as a whole. He is the first candidate I have ever truly believed in!
